Museum of Art Pudong (MAP) is located in the heart of the riverside area. Construction began in 2017 and opened to the public in July 2021. MAP is built and managed by Lujiazui Group and designed by renowned French architect and the Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Jean Nouvel. The curators’ focus is introducing world-class artists and exhibitions to Shanghai, as well as grooming domestic artists, facilitating insightful dialogue and exchanges between the international and local art communities. It is slated to be the new cultural landmark in Shanghai, spotlighting Shanghai's arts and culture scene.
